Where is our hospital in Grandview?
Grandview is the suburb directly on the southeast side of Kansas City. Our office is on the east access road (frontage road) beside 71 Highway. Please see specific directions below from your location, or call us and we will tell you the easiest route from your home. Our hospital is in a big white two story house with an attachment built onto the north side that extends out in front. Please watch for our sign that says BURGE BIRD SERVICES with a parrot on it, and use the driveway off of the access road that leads to the front door, which is the entry for the clinic. From south Kansas City or south Johnson County:
If you prefer the highway route, take I-435 east to 71 Highway South. Take the 140th Street exit, turn left at the first light to go over the top of the highway, then left at the next light onto the east access road. We are in the first building on your right. You can avoid the "Grandview Triangle" by using the 135th Street/150 Highway route. By taking this road east, you will reach 71 Highway just one exit south of us. Take 71 Highway North to the 140th Street exit, go straight thru the light, and we are the first building on your right.
From Raytown, west Independence, and east Kansas City:
If you prefer the highway route, take I-435 South to 71 Highway South. Take the 140th Street exit, turn left at the first light to go over the top of the highway, then left at the next light onto the east access road. We are in the first building on your right. To avoid the "Grandview Triangle" you can take Blue Ridge Blvd. south. This will take you to 71 Highway South, and you will take the second exit at 140th Street. Turn left at the first light to go over the top of the highway, then left at the next light onto the east access road. We are in the first building on your right.
From most of Kansas City, northern Johnson County, Wyandotte County, and north of the river:
If you prefer the highway route, take I-435 to 71 Highway South. Take the 140th Street exit, turn left at the first light to go over the top of the highway, then left at the next light onto the east access road. We are in the first building on your right. Alternatively, 71 Highway South, also known as Bruce R. Watkins Drive, is a very direct route to our office. You can access it from I-35/I-29 South and from I-70 near the downtown loop, as well as from many streets in Kansas City that intersect with it. Take the 140th Street exit, turn left at the first light to go over the top of the highway, then left at the next light onto the east access road. We are in the first building on your right.
From east Independence, Blue Springs, and other cities to the east:
If you prefer the highway route, take I-470 South and West to 71 Highway South. Take the 140th Street exit, turn left at the first light to go over the top of the highway, then left at the next light onto the east access road. We are in the first building on your right. To avoid the "Grandview Triangle", you can exit from I-470 at Blue Ridge Blvd. and go south. This will take you to 71 Highway South, and you will take the second exit at 140th Street. Turn left at the first light to go over the top of the highway, then left at the next light onto the east access road. We are in the first building on your right.
From Lee's Summit:
If you prefer the highway route, take I-470 West to 71 Highway South. Take the 140th Street exit, turn left at the first light to go over the top of the highway, then left at the next light onto the east access road. We are in the first building on your right. You can choose to avoid the "Grandview Triangle" by taking 291 Highway South to 150 Highway west. This will take you to 71 Highway, where you go north one exit to 140th Street. When you exit you will be on the east access road. After you go straight thru the light at 140th Street, we are in the very first building on your right.
From Cass County and other cities in the south and southeast:
150 Highway will go west to 71 Highway for clients in Lone Jack, Greenwood, Pleasant Hill, and other cities to the east. From there, or from Belton, Raymore, Peculiar, and other cities to the south, take 71 Hwy north to the 140th Street exit. When you exit you will be on the east access road. After you go straight thru the light at 140th Street, we are in the very first building on your right.
