HURRICANE KATRINA ANIMAL RESCUE
BY JULIE BURGE, DVM
This is a journal of my experience in Louisiana following the hurricane.  I was able to play only a very tiny part in this enormous operation, but it will impact me for the rest of my life.

I have set this up so that people can read only the portions that are of interest instead of having to go thru the entire long rambling saga.  Simply click on the header to see the page of your choice.  One page includes photographs of stranded and rescued animals taken from news organizations, while other photos have been taken during my trip by me or someone I was with.  I do not know the source of all of the news photos so I cannot give them proper credit, as many of them were sent to me by friends who found them online.
